Walking With the Lord
Give me oil in my Lamp.
Its me, Its me, Its me Oh Lord.
This is the day, that the lord has made.
When my way grows dear, precious lord linger near..
All things bright and beautiful!
Give me oil in my Lamp.
Its me, Its me, Its me Oh Lord.
This is the day, that the lord has made.
When my way grows dear, precious lord linger near..
All things bright and beautiful!

Song Lyrics: JAMAICA FAREWELL
Down the way where the nights are gay and the sun shines gaily on the mountain top
I took a trip on a sailing ship but when I reached Jamaica I made a stop
But I'm sad to say I'm on my way won't be back for many a day
My heart is down my head is spinning around
I had to leave a little girl in Kingston town
Sounds of laughter everywhere and the dancing girls swaying to and fro
I must declare my heart is there though I've been from Maine to Mexico
But I'm sad to say I'm on my way...
[ guitar ] Down at the market you can hear ladies cry out while on their heads they bear
Ackey rice salt fish are nice and the run is good anytime of the year
But I'm sad to say I'm on my way...
Sad to say I'm on my way...

But I'm sad to say I'm on my way...
Sad to say I'm on my way...

Singing
10th std:
I remember Sir. Auntiya punishing our whole batch for talking too much. There was a whole line of girls standing outside the hall.
We waited for 45 minutes when Sir Auntiya fumed
'I will complain to the principal. I will not let you all sing even when you come in for the next class'
Someone replied "Sir, this is our last class".
We were all in the hall singing within the next 5 minutes.
